When the inlaws were visiting a couple weeks ago, we were all joking about the hair loss that ran in the family. My mother-in-law says her hair is thinning and she feels self-conscious about it. My husband's hair is thinning, too, but his is so thick it's not really a concern yet. One of the things we said was that they're all going to end up needing hair transplants in the not-so-distant future! We laugh, but... it just may be a reality!
What is your favorite scent?

Ooh, I love this question because I just so happen to have a new, favorite scent. It's overridden all of my past, longstanding favorites by a mile. It's Love In White by Creed. Audra turned me onto it after she heard about it from watching this past season of Big Brother. Apparently Janelle wears this and she was getting a lot of compliments about it. This stuff is expensive, but eBay is your friend. Delicious!
Two of my girlfriends are coming over tonight - I'm excited! It's so good for my soul to nourish it with friendships. I'm not sure what we'll even do, we'll be here with my boys... maybe we'll watch a movie or do makeup or something. I want to do girlie-girl stuff!
The other day a co-worker was in my office and I noticed how many age lines she's got around her mouth. She isn't that much older than me, but those wrinkles tell a different story. I've often wondered how genetics work - how come some people age so much better than others. I look at my relatives and wonder which ones genes I'll inherit.
There have been some breakthroughs in the medical world that has found aging molecules known as free radicals that are byproducts of your body's natural metabolism. There is a new product called Proleva on the market that has been shown to reduce free radical damage to human cells by 700%. That's incredible! So what I'm gathering from this is that genetics might not have to play as large a part in how I'll look as I grow older as they used to. I can actually have the power to control the condition of my skin.
The best part is that Proleva uses an all natural blend of fruit and berry extracts - I love the all natural factor in any products, but especially something I would be putting on my face to mess with my free radicals.

I found a great online store this morning that sells products right up my alley: natural beauty products and nutrition supplements! N101 Nutrition offers a massive selection at great costs as well as discount volume pricing when you buy items in bulk. They also have a rewards program so you can earn points for your purchases and redeem them for coupons and free stuff. Sweet!
I've been checking out the Beauty and Personal Care section, of course. :-) I'm loving that they have Burt's Bees products galore and there's a Hot Chocolate Sugar Scrub that is calling my name. I can tell I'll be visiting this place quite often, especially with Christmas coming soon!

Remember years ago the Head & Shoulders commercials were all about the shame associated with having dandruff? It did seem like people had a lot worse dandruff in the 70's & 80's for some reason. What's that all about? Anyway, I noticed this week, with the advent of cold weather, that I was getting the seriously dry scalp and white flakes. Hate that! I bought Garnier Fructis dandruff shampoo and my scalp has been thanking me a little bit more each day. Now I don't have to worry that I'll be one of those shameful white flakes on my shoulders girls that everyone points and laughs at. Ha! As if.
And speaking of plastic surgery... one thing that has always bothered me is my nose. If I ever had surgery on my face, it would definitely be rhinoplasty. This Rhinoplasty Center is close to me, in New Jersey, and it's a place I've heard of before. I doubt I would ever get a nose job because I have so much fear of it being botched and what if I don't like how I look afterwards? That would suck. I did read, though, that having rhinoplasty could help people who have sinus problems and that's something I've always suffered from - but I just don't think it's enough to warrant looking into this seriously. I think I'll just have to go through the rest of my life with my "ski slope". :-)
After losing over 100 pounds, I've got extra skin in places and my body isn't quite the same as it used to be before I gained and lost so many pounds so many times. Having two babies and breastfeeding them also didn't help matters in that department. I've considered getting surgery to firm things up, but have just not made any decisions. I ran across this plastic surgery blog tonight and it's an interesting read. I believe in being educated before making any decision, especially one as major as this - so this is one way of doing that.
Would you ever get plastic surgery?
